Alexis Taylor is a solo recording artist and founding member of the band Hot Chip.

He has released 6 solo albums and 8 Hot Chip albums, 4 albums with About Group, received Grammy and Mercury Prize nominations and also worked with Robert Wyatt, Peter Gabriel, This Is Not This Heat, David Byrne, Elysian Quartet, Green Gartside, Beatrice Dillon, Bonnie “Prince” Billy and the BBC Concert Orchestra amongst others. 

Alexis is also a DJ who has played internationally from Tokyo to Helsinki, Melbourne to Marylebone, and has produced records by James Yorkston, Matthew Falloon and The Wrong Trousers.

Alexis likes electric pianos, swimming and car boot sales, but can’t drive a car. He’s never had a cup of coffee.
